about me

I believe there should be purpose in design. I want to know the mission of the client, the psychology of the audience and to create a product that speaks to both. While all projects aren't going to be groundbreaking, I think good design can help any project stand out.

I have become more and more interested and involved in digital media over the last few years. It wasn't something I was initially drawn to in school, but after being in the print industry for a while I've realized the clear value and endless opportunity of interactive design. I never saw myself as a math-minded person, but I find myself wanting to learn more about trigonometry so that I can better understand and write actionscript. I'm picking my way through javascript to the point that I go way too long without using the bathroom because I'm trying to figure something out and I don't want to lose my train of thought. There are numerous languages out there and numerous types of developers. I'm the kind of developer who will figure out what I don't understand.

Over the last couple years I've had the opportunity to manage online and print projects. While I've been managing these accounts, projects have stayed on schedule and close to budget. Through this experience, I have become aware of all that goes into providing a client with the result they want, while working within the parameters they've set. Doing good work for a client not only involves good design, but good direction as well.
